Pricing Analyst

Department: Finance
Location: Marathon, WI

Salary will be commensurate with experience


Position Information

The Pricing Analyst will lead customer pricing and market communications, including tracking and auditing of documents and systems. Incumbent will partner cross functionally to provide pricing reporting and analysis, and collaborate on process improvement/cost savings initiatives. This role will support conversion customer reporting and the new product commercialization process. This position reports to the Director of Cost Accounting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for communicating and tracking customer pricing communications and reporting, including weekly/monthly market letters, customer quotes and price lists. Works closely with the Director of Cost Accounting, the Pricing Manager, customer service, business development and finance to provide timely, accurate and professional communications, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Participate in customer quotations and pricing exercises.
  • Lead effort to provide management and business development with enhanced reporting and metrics to support decision making and drive business growth.
  • Develop and implement document and system integrity audit program.
  • Support conversion customer reporting, including weekly conversion reports and month end close.
  • Contribute to ongoing foundational costing project to leverage and enhance SAP costing and pricing.
  • Contribute to cross functional projects focused on process/system improvements, increased efficiencies and driving out waste to improve business profitability.
  • Partner with other functions to ensure accuracy and control of SAP master data: Customer records, Pricing Conditions, Pricing Strategy, Routings, Invoices, accruals and postings.
  • Prepare pricing related ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested, and assist with special projects.
  • Provide top tier customer support, reporting and communication.
  • Support and back-up other cost accounting functions as needed.

Qualifications for Pricing Analyst

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a similar discipline, with at least 1-3 years of work experience in the field.
  • Solid understanding of accounting systems and procedures
  • Strong computer skills: MS Office Suite, advanced level Excel.
  • Professional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and confidential environment
  • Robust analytical skills with the ability to provide actionable data
  • Motivated team player capable of working independently
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with SAP or other major ERP system is a plus
  • Exposure to manufacturing, especially in the food industry is a plus
